A truly outstanding story that follows the life of an American-Ukrainian girl, Twyla from California. The story delves into her role as a fighter pilot during the backdrop of Pearl Harbour and WW2 and also portrays the role that this played to her family and loved ones.

This is very well researched and the historical accuracy is very well depicted. It is quite a remarkable take on women serving in the war and the parts and roles that they played, showing the sacrifices that women made.

You immediately warm to the characters and can’t wait to read more. A beautifully written book, with some great illustrations. The style of writing, including the letters, make it a realistic read and the reader wanting more.

Inspiring...

This is an absolute must read, and one hell of a ride…

The main character, Flint, is a Native American with such a difficult and somewhat terrible past. From his alcohol Mother, to accusations of rape and murder, he certainly struggles to fit in with society in general.

While this a story of good versus evil, it is such a unique version of one. Flint has the power to walk through dreams and the US government are seeking someone with the ability to use a drug that enhances psychic abilities, and Flint, the reluctant hero, finds himself up against an assassin who is also wanting the drug.

There is so much depth and meaning to each character and the violent, graphic and sometimes shocking scenes, bring the story to life.

The Native American scenes, insights and belief’s are truly incredible. This story has so many twists and turns, and I promise you it’s impossible the guess at the end.

Very descriptive writing, great characters and plot. This is an absolute must read!

A true story following C Read’s involvement in what appeared to be a bible study group, but in actual fact the group turned out to be a cult, with similarities to that of David Koresh and Waco.

I have mixed opinions on this book. Firstly, it’s not really what I had expected and it’s a little hard to read, with many editions, introductions, and biblical quotations. As my faith is rather lacking, or “on the fence” the authors writing style and voice can be quite overpowering at times. But, with that said, it’s a really interesting read and most certainly eye opening.

The authors voice comes through well, and you definitely feel the pain, suffering and torment that was bestowed upon her, and her strong beliefs got her through that difficult time.

Let’s hope that her voice reaches others in similar circumstances, or those in need in general.

A difficult read, but well worth the effort.
